Job Description
The Account Manager is accountable to design and execute sales merchandising and marketing programs for the Retail Company's account. Key drivers for success in this position involve building and leveraging relationships with customers, vendors, broker partners and cross-functional teams at KeHE. Responsibilities include executing strategic sales initiatives and ensuring delivery on priorities. Ultimately, the scorecard for success will be measured by the increase of profitable sales as well as deepened relationships within the account. * Leads the implementation of strategic merchandising and marketing, category plans and programs with the Retailer Category Managers.
* Drives sales growth through analytical and fact-based selling, driving incremental assortment, developing, and executing promotional plans, and ensuring executional excellence at store level.
* Focuses on sales plan development, assessment, analysis, and execution specific to the account through new business opportunities.
* Understands P&L for the assigned customer, ensuring controls in place to monitor investment, sales spending, and sales expenses.
* Develops productive working relationships with the Vendor/Broker community to strengthen partnership with customer and drive item and promotional activity.
* Ensures KeHE competitive advantage with knowledge of competitor activities in the market; delivering recommendations on a path forward to mitigate any risks with customer.
* Works with a sense of urgency towards projects, requests, and deadlines.
* Collaborates with other KeHE cross-functional Teams to discover and lead new opportunities, driving company initiatives and demonstrating category leadership through data and insights.
* Fosters relationship with Supply Chain Teams ensuring efficiency, compliance and expected service.
* Assures that established company policies and procedures are followed in the assigned sales area.
* Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% with additional willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including Shows, Leadership Meetings and Store Visits.

Required Skills & Experience
* 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Business or related
* 5 years sales experience
* Intermediate + excel skills (filtering, sorting, basic formulas are fine- open to learning pivot tables/vlookups)
* Proven track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
* Experience driving category reviews, new items, and innovation by utilizing data
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Minimum five (5) years' experience in sales of grocery products to chain accounts.
* Category Management experience
