Job Description
A client in the Louisville area is looking for a Security Specialist to join their team. The Security Specialist will act as the "face of the company" to the client out in the field. They will be responsible for managing multiple projects at a time and traveling from site to site to ensure QAQC. In this role, you will ensure proper installation, program, and test a variety of non-routine systems and equipment which may include security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation. You will be responsible for the subcontractors onsite and collaborate with the Project Manager to keep the project on track.

Required Skills & Experience
-Colleagues install, program, test, repair, and service systems (security, fire alarm, life safety, building automation) with ingenuity and proficiency.
-Read complex blueprints, schematics, and manuals to determine installation requirements.
-Operate systems, commission new setups, analyze performance, and troubleshoot malfunctions using advanced tools and electronics knowledge.
-Write complex, non-routine programs for systems.
-Act as the primary technical support and training interface, ensuring customer satisfaction and positioning as the preferred service provider.
-Perform custom systems integrations, upgrades, audits, database management, and network system support.
-Consult with engineering to resolve unusual system operation or maintenance issues.
-Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, plus company health and safety policies.
-Advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and installation improvements.
-Execute technical project aspects: deliverables (submittals, drawings, training docs), programming, testing, customer training, and ongoing support.
-Identify project risks, communicate them, and assist in strategies to minimize cost and timeline deviations.
-Collaborate with Project/Operations Managers, oversee subcontractors, and suggest scope changes to improve quality and satisfaction.
-Mentor and train less experienced staff, supervise testing and tuning, and provide performance feedback on Project Specialists I and II.
- Must know how to program Genetec, Lenel, or Software House
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Experience owning quality assurance and quality controls (QAQC).
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience installing licenses.
- Product-specific certifications, Industry-specific certifications and/or licenses: Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Milestone or ONSSI, AXIS
