Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a strong working knowledge of the grant and sponsored programs lifecycle, supporting research through post-award phases, including administrative and financial aspects. The ideal candidate will have additional exposure to ancillary topics such as effort reporting and subrecipient management. They should possess subject matter expertise in grant and contract accounting practices, including internal control practices and operational processes/SOPs. A thorough understanding of accounting processes, including cash management (billing/collections), financial reporting, and closeout processes for sponsored programs, is essential.
The candidate should have experience developing institutional reports to support internal business processes and be adept at data clean-up and data migration initiatives. Experience managing grants and sponsored programs using Workday is required. The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience in higher education supporting grants and sponsored programs, along with 8+ years of experience with grants and ERP systems as a whole.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong working knowledge of the grant/sponsored programs lifecycle supporting research, including pre-award and post-award phases (administrative and financial). Additional exposure to ancillary topics including effort reporting and subrecipient management preferred.
- Subject matter expertise level knowledge of grant and contract accounting practices, including internal control practices and operational processes/SOPs.
- Knowledge of accounting processes, including cash management (billing/collections), financial reporting, and closeout processes for sponsored programs.
- Experience with developing institutional reports in support of internal business processes.
