Grants Accounting Analyst

We are seeking an experienced financial professional to assist our grant accounting team in ensuring accurate financial reporting across all grant accounts. This role involves pulling and analyzing data from our financial system, cross referencing projects, funds, and other external grantor systems to reconcile drawn revenues and expenses, and preparing corrective accounting entries. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of grant accounting, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Extract and analyze financial data from the organization’s accounting system.
Review grant accounts to confirm proper allocation of revenues and expenses.
Investigate discrepancies by examining historical documentation and transactions.
Work closely with grant accountants and managers to resolve issues.
Prepare and submit journal entries to correct accounting records.
Ensure compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.

3+ years of accounting experience
Familiarity with compliance requirements for grants and restricted funds
Strong Microsoft Excel and account software experience

Experience using Workday
