Job Description
A client is looking for an IT Project Manager for a contract role that can sit in Louisville, KY or sit remotely. This candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to defined scope, timeline, and budget. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across departments, managing resources, tracking progress, and ensuring that project goals align with business objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicative, and proactive in resolving challenges to keep projects on track.
Other job duties include the following:
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Manage project execution from initiation to closure, ensuring milestones and goals are met.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and report on project progress, providing updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for seamless project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and quality standards.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain thorough project documentation including plans, reports, and records.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience required
• 3-5 years of experience managing projects in a professional environment
• Experience managing large scale complex IT projects is a preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies
