IAM Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a IAM Engineer for a remote contract opportunity based in the Louisville, KY area. The contractor will support the implementation of an Identity & Access Governance (IAG) platform and strengthen IT General Controls (ITGC) and compliance processes across the organization, with a focus on SOX and NIST requirements. Responsibilities include but not limited to IAG platform implementation, SOX control design & testing, remediation & corrective action planning, and compliance framework alignment. Specifics to IAG platform implementation include assist with configuration, testing, and rollout of the user access review platform, support integration with key in-scope applications and systems and develop process documentation and train stakeholders on user access certification. Specifics to SOX control design & testing include partner with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate current control design for SOX ITGCs, perform control walkthroughs, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements, execute testing of operational effectiveness of access and change management controls. Specifics to remediation & corrective action planning include collaborate with control owners to design corrective action and mitigation plans for identified deficiencies, track remediation activities and provide progress reporting to management, ensure remediation aligns with regulatory expectations and industry frameworks. Specifics to compliance framework alignment include apply knowledge of SOX, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001 to strengthen security governance practices, provide advisory input on aligning IAG processes with broader risk management and compliance frameworks, and contribute to policy, standard, and procedure development as needed. This is a four-month contract opportunity with one of the most well-established organizations in the Louisville area.

Strong knowledge of SOX ITGC requirements (access, change management, IT operations).
Experience with Identity & Access Governance.
Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks, including NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
Ability to develop and execute remediation/mitigation plans.
Strong communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

SailPoint, Saviynt, or similar tools preferred
Implementation experience with IAG tools
Audit (internal or external) experience
Access Auditor experience
Local to Louisville, KY
