Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Demand Planner who is passionate about demand planning and comfortable working with data to analyze trends and improve forecast accuracy. This person will be responsible for generating customer- and category-level forecasts while driving continuous improvements in demand accuracy through process enhancements such as demand sensing, shaping techniques, and customer-level forecasting. On a daily basis, this individual will analyze historical sales data, market trends, promotions, and seasonal performance to build accurate weekly and monthly forecasts. They’ll coordinate closely with sales, brand, supply chain, and key retail partners to align on forecasts, support new product introductions, and assess the impact of market changes or significant forecast variances. This role will also manage statistical forecast exceptions, using demand-planning systems and reports to identify issues and recommend adjustments. The Sr. Demand Planner will prepare and deliver relevant reports and presentations for monthly forecast alignment and demand reviews, while developing and tracking key performance metrics and KPIs related to forecast accuracy. They’ll communicate forecast confidence, risks, and opportunities clearly to both internal stakeholders and external partners, helping drive informed decision-making. The ideal individual is analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in breaking down complex data, summarizing insights effectively, and continuously improving forecast performance through collaboration and data-driven recommendations.

Required Skills & Experience

• BA/BS with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Category Management, Marketing or related degree, OR equivalent experience
• 4–6 years of experience in Planning or Supply Chain
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel (including complex formula creation)
• Experience with planning software such as SAP, Arkieva, Oracle, or Logility
• Experience with S&OP Process Improvement
• Experience in consumer products or manufacturing support

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience in consumer products or manufacturing support
• Power BI proficiency
• APICS, IBF, or equivalent certification
