Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a lead AV install technician to lead one of their major projects in Lexington, KY.
Key responsibilities listed below:
• Lead and manage AV technicians on active job sites
• Perform hands‑on installation work alongside the team
• Oversee cable routing, termination, and conduit pathways
• Ensure cable lengths and installation methods meet project standards
• Maintain accountability and productivity across the crew
• Coordinate daily activities with the GC and other trades
• Manage site safety, compliance, and workflow
Serve as the primary on‑site point of contact for AV scope execution

Required Skills & Experience
· Experience with running & terminating cable
· Experience working with various AV tools & technologies
o Microphones, speakers, Crestron products
· Able and willing to work on a lift, be on a ladder/ scaffolding
• Experience running multimillion‑dollar job sites
• Leading technicians
• Managing daily site operations
• Partnering with the General Contractor (GC)
• Proven ability to hold teams accountable while working hands‑on
• Experience managing teams ranging from 1–2 techs up to 6–8 techs
• Strong understanding of conduit pathways, cable lengths, and acceptable installation standards
· OSHA 30 Certification
· Must be able to pass a drug test
Must have a valid Driver's License and Driving Record that matches customer driving standards
