Job Description

We are looking for a GitHub Engineer to manage and optimize our enterprise GitHub environment. In this role, you will be responsible for administering repositories, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring security compliance across a large-scale development ecosystem. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing repository reviews, setting up governance rules, and configuring GitHub Actions and workflows to support automation. You will work within a Java-based environment using Gradle and help implement Dependabot for dependency management. Collaboration with the security team is essential as we integrate Oraca Security for code scanning and compliance. Additionally, you will build reusable templates, manage GitHub Packages, and provide reporting and auditing for repository health and usage. A key part of this role involves leading code migration efforts for over 300 repositories, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption. At the enterprise level, you will manage GitHub across multiple organizational layers, oversee repository governance, and enforce policies to maintain consistency and security. The ideal candidate has strong experience with GitHub administration, CI/CD pipelines, Java/Gradle build systems, and security best practices, along with the ability to manage large-scale migrations and deliver actionable insights through reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with GitHub administration and enterprise-level configuration.
• Hands-on expertise in GitHub Actions, workflows, and CI/CD pipeline setup.
• Familiarity with Java/Gradle build systems.
• Knowledge of security practices, including code scanning tools and dependency management.
• Experience with GitHub Packages, template creation, and automation.
• Ability to manage large-scale code migrations and repository consolidation.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills for auditing and compliance.
Familiarity with Oraca Security or similar code scanning tools.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working in large enterprise environments with multiple teams and repositories.
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure development practices.
