Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sr Privacy Lead for a contract to hire opportunity. The Sr Privacy Lead will work directly with the Head of Privacy and will be responsible for maturing and managing the data privacy program within a tier 1 automotive supplier and affiliated companies. This will include the following:
- Working closely with the Head of Data Privacy to create and execute the privacy roadmap
- Ensure privacy practices adhere to regulations
- Support privacy training for the organization
- Assist in privacy compliance monitoring, impact assessments, risk assessments, and remediation
- Monitor and evaluate evolving laws, rules, regulations, and provide guidance to the business on the implementation of related requirements to help maintain compliance and strategic alignment.
- Participate in the maintenance and enhancement of privacy program compliance requirements.
- Chair privacy meetings, communicate project progress, escalations, and issues to key stakeholders
This role will be tied to the Legal Department, but it is crucial for this individual to be comfortable working cross functionally with the Cyber and IT departments to implement processes and advance privacy practices within the organization. This can be viewed as a more Privacy Generalist role compared to a Specialist as this individual could also consult with affiliate organizations on privacy practices. This is a contract to hire role with a conversion salary of $120k annually.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of experience in the field of privacy or consulting with a focus on privacy program management
Bachelors Degree or higher in relative field
Knowledgeable with laws & regulations such as CPRA, GLBA, and HIPAA
Experience transforming privacy requirements into solutions and outcomes

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Information governance knowledge
Experience working with outside counsel/consulting firms
