Remote OT Network Security Engineer

An employer is seeking a remote OT Network Contractor for a contract role supporting their OT Stabilization effort. The primary objective of this
engagement is to replace existing Cisco ASA firewalls with Cisco Firepower
Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls and establish or strengthen IT/OT segregation,
while ensuring compliance with company cybersecurity standards, OT security
requirements, and industry best practices. 


Responsibilities will include:

• Cisco ASA to Cisco FTD migration implementation services.

• Environment segregation in cases where no firewall currently exists in the
network.

• Firewall design review and updated deployment documentation.

• Updated network diagrams showing IT/OT segregation architecture.

• Firewall policy review and optimization documentation.

• Implementation of ADM standard firewall baseline configurations.

• Verification and validation test results.

• Logging and SIEM integration verification report.

• Migration execution and cutover support.

• Updated operational and support documentation.

• Knowledge transfer documentation to BAU.

• Project status updates and implementation reports.

7+ years of Network Engineering or Network Security Engineering experience.
Strong Operational Technology (OT) networking experience in manufacturing, industrial, or plant environments.
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASA and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls.
Proven experience executing ASA-to-FTD firewall migration projects.
Strong understanding of:









Firewall policy management
NAT
VPNs
Routing
Access Control Policies (ACP)
Security segmentation
Experience supporting IT/OT network communications and industrial cybersecurity initiatives.
Strong understanding of Security and Compliance including Principle
of Least Privilege
