Job Description

The Human Resources Manager serves as a strategic business partner to plant leadership, overseeing all HR operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role drives employee engagement, employee relations, compliance, talent management, and workforce development to support production goals while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and high-performing culture. The HR Manager leads recruitment and retention efforts, supports leadership development and succession planning, manages compensation and benefits, ensures compliance with labor regulations, and leverages HRIS data to inform decision-making. Success in this role requires strong collaboration with operations leaders, a proactive mindset, and the ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on HR execution at the plant level.

Required Skills & Experience

MUST HAVES
• 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment
• At least 5 + years in an HR leadership role (HR Manager level or above)
• Deep hands-on experience with employee relations, including complex and escalated issues
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including OSHA and EEOC
• Proven ability to partner directly with plant and operations leadership
• Experience leading performance management, leadership development, and engagement initiatives
• HRIS experience with enterprise systems such as Workday, SAP, or similar
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Automotive or motor vehicle manufacturing experience
• Experience with succession planning and workforce planning at the plant level
• Change management experience (organizational redesign, growth, restructuring)
• Direct ownership of compensation and benefits administration
• Experience leading engagement initiatives on the plant floor
• Master’s degree in HR, Business, or Organizational Leadership
• Experience in fast-paced, high-volume production environments
