Job Description

Day to Day:
· Setting-up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software, and allocating mass storage space
· Interacting with users and evaluating vendor products
· Making recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinating installation, and providing backup recovery
Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
· Bachelors degree in computer science or management information systems (or equivalent work experience)
· Public Trust security clearance required to start
· Experience with the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
· Installation and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
· Installation of network devices and cabling
· Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to resolution
· Ability to determine and provide technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
· Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
· Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring timely resolution of all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems
· Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
· Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to Have:
· Certifications in O365, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Professional Series
· Experience with Microsoft Developer Studio 2015 / 2019 / 2022
· Experience coding TSQL in a Microsoft SQL Server environment
· Experience with Linux server administration
Lean Six Sigma and ISO 9001 experience or training
