We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tests on construction materials, including soil subgrade and foundation testing, asphalt testing, concrete, mortar, and grout testing, structural masonry testing, spray-applied fireproofing testing, aggregate testing, and moisture-density relationship assessments. The role involves extensive walking over varying terrain and in diverse weather conditions, as well as squatting and bending as required.
Key responsibilities include:
Testing materials during construction
Reporting results to the project superintendent and CFS project manager
Completing required paperwork and sketches, reading construction plans, and following job specifications.
The technician will also perform light manual labor, adhere to all safety guidelines, and assist in training technician trainees and others.
Additionally, the technician is responsible for the proper operation, field maintenance, and security of all assigned equipment

Related degree (Engineering Technology, Geology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science)
ACI (American Concrete Institution Institute) certification
Previous construction experience
Able to read blueprints.
