Network Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our WAF team, focused on hardening Akamai WAF infrastructure and enhancing application-level security monitoring. This role requires hands-on experience with WAF OS Top 10 threats, security configurations, and dashboard development to support proactive threat detection and FCC compliance.

• Harden and optimize Akamai WAF configurations to protect against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Design and implement application-level monitoring dashboards for real-time visibility into WAF performance and threat activity.
• Collaborate with security and development teams to ensure robust WAF instrumentation and enablement.
• Support FCC compliance initiatives through secure network design and documentation.
• Analyze traffic patterns and security logs to identify and mitigate potential threats.
• Maintain and update WAF policies and rulesets in alignment with evolving security standards.

• Proven experience with Akamai WAF or similar Web Application Firewall platforms.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Expertise in network security configurations and application-level monitoring.
• Familiarity with dashboard tools and telemetry systems for WAF visibility.
• Solid background in network engineering within a security-focused environment.
• Experience supporting compliance-driven initiatives (FCC or similar).
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
