Job Description

Seeking a dynamic business development leader with a passion for growth, strategy, and relationship-building. Join a forward-thinking transportation company where your performance directly drives your success. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Business Development Manager is a strategic partner in driving revenue, expanding market share, and cultivating lasting customer relationships. You'll be empowered to lead the full sales cycle—from quoting and trip planning to closing deals and managing accounts - competitive base pay + aggressive commission structure.

Key Responsibilities

· Own customer relationships: Build and nurture customer relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and growth.
· Drive strategic sales initiatives: Create and execute customer capture strategies for drive-away business and beyond
· Lead competitive bids: Collaborate with operations to develop tailored, winning proposals that exceed client expectations.
· Shape proposals and contracts: Assist in developing RFP responses and negotiating contracts that align with company goals.
· Deliver results: Meet or exceed targets for revenue, new customer acquisition, and profit margins.
· Segment and scale: Partner with leadership to define customer segments and execute strategies that unlock scalable growth.
· Champion collaboration: Operate as a key contributor to a high-performance, cross-functional team culture built on trust, communication, positive energy, and execution.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business development or sales
· 3+ years of success in B2B sales, preferably in transportation or logistics
· Demonstrated history of managing key accounts and developing new business
· Experience responding to RFPs and managing contract negotiations is a plus
· This position comes with a travel requirement up to 25%
