Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Production Team lead with an engineering background and a strong technical mindset that will be responsible for leading production department teams of Packaging Technicians and Spray Operators during night shift operations. This role is designed as a developmental pathway for engineers who want hands on plant experience, exposure to complex manufacturing processes, and long term growth into leadership or process engineering roles. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a technical background- someone who can troubleshoot processes, understand system behavior, and independently think through technical challenges in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical)
2+ years of process engineering experience within Chemical Manufacturing, Bakery, or Paper Manufacturing Plants
Understanding of continuous manufacturing systems, chemical/thermal processes as well as temperature, pressure and pneumatic systems.
Experience troubleshooting temperature and pressure driven processes, with heavy focus on 1.) heat and mass transfer 2.) air balancing and pneumatic systems and 3.) liquid pumps, blowers, and cooling systems
Comfortable with or previous experience working night shift

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Exposure to congealing (spray) towers, packaging lines, and hydrate/tube chill processes
Experience working with SAP for inventory checks and material movements, bill of materials, and finished goods adjustments
Experience analyzing process data and trends using statistical methods
Experience writing and revising standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Prior supervisory or lead experience
