Job Description

Pay: 25-32+/hr
Job Description: The primary role of this position is to install commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and card access systems under the supervision of a senior installer or supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install commercial alarm, fire, CCTV, and card access systems.
Provide reliable, high-quality customer support.
Instruct customers on system operation and functionality.
Perform system testing and signal verification.
Maintain necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
Conduct new system installations, upgrades, and additions.
Organize and utilize technical resources, information, materials, and support to ensure efficient task execution.
Monitor and ensure the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
Complete and submit all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
Exhibit a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Complete other projects as assigned.
Work Environment:
Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.
Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with on-call availability and travel on short notice.
Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, twist, use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear.
Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.

Additional Notes:
Capable of minimum training to get started.
Able to hit the ground running with access control and Brivo.
Some fire alarm experience preferred but not required.
Will ride with a senior technician initially and then work independently.
Telecomm possible with wire theory knowledge.
Good communication skills, coachable, and open to criticism.
Certifications: NICET, OSHA 10/30, MEWP, LIFTs.
Big C cert (networking and wiring) is nice to have but not required.
Experience with Honeywell, DMP, Privo, KITTA.
Must have a car that can accommodate a 6-foot ladder.

Required Skills & Experience

High School Diploma or Vocational Training.
At least 2 year of experience (ideally 5+ years)
Working knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, fire systems, CCTV, intercom, and access control systems.
Familiarity with local/national codes.
Ability to read drawings and pull wires accordingly.
Valid drivers license and ability to clear a pre-employment drug screening.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, and procedures in English.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Any certifications related to experience.
OSHA 10 Cert.
NICET Certified.
Lift Cert or MEWP
Low voltage experience.
Alarm License.
Networking.
5+ years of commercial experience with one of the following: fire alarms, alarms, radio, CCTV, security, cameras, or burglar systems.
Product knowledge of devices such as Honeywell, DMP, Bosch, Kityhoka , EST, or others.
