- Design and route piping systems, layouts or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems.
- Plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations.
- Understand and develop the capability of quality checking in the 3D models for interferences and constructability optimizations.
- Resolve comments on checked drawings; understand and implement the comments made.
- Complete as-builts by utilizing RFIs, ECNs and red-marked drawings from construction to develop Conformed to Construction Records as required.
- Seek ways to improve customer satisfaction, the quality of the work product, and operating efficiencies.
- Help develop, review, and implement guidelines and procedures to ensure design standardization and templating of our engineering work.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology and industry practices and find practical applications.
- Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
- Check design for consistency, safety, operability, quality and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking.
- Basic understanding of piping layouts and field drawings.

- 10 years of design experience with mechanical / piping design within power generation
- Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings
- Experience with Plant 3D and/or Cadworx
- Experience with CADWORX Plant Pro, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Excel
- Piping or Mechanical modeling Experience in EPC Power Industry
- Aconex Document Controls software knowledge
