Job Description
A telecom construction client is looking to hire a Foreman in the Des Moines area. This role oversees the construction of cell tower construction projects according to client specifications and construction drawings. Daily tasks include reviewing project scopes, ordering and verifying materials, and leading the crew in building jobs as planned. The role involves operating light to heavy equipment, performing site grading, excavation, concrete work, and ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained. The Foreman conducts daily safety meetings, schedules inspections, and documents project progress with photos and paperwork. They are responsible for maintaining a clean job site, reporting deviations to the Superintendent or Project Manager, and ensuring turnover documentation is complete. This position requires extensive travel (75–100%) and is non-climbing, focusing on ground-level civil work. Per diem, lodging, and a company vehicle are all provided.

Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of industry-related civil experience, including concrete and/or trenching
- A valid, active driver's license
- Ability to operate skid steer, mini excavator, backhoe loader, and other heavy equipment
- Experience with site grading, excavation, concrete pad forming/finishing, and/or utility trenching
- Ability to travel extensively (75%+), work extended hours and some weekends
- Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, and lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of crew lead or foreman experience
- Class A CDL (or willingness to obtain within 6 months, company-paid)
- Experience with landscaping and chain link fence installation
