Job Description

In this role, you will work within an agile development team, that includes software developers, business analysts, product owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and test analysts. You will work closely with the team’s Business Analyst to define the product scope, ensuring alignment with business goals. As the Solution Architect, you will be accountable for the technical design and at times will need to communicate technical information in a non-technical manner. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining an appropriate application-level architecture for the team, organizing development work, and ensuring the code quality meets the standards. You will conduct code reviews and act as the gatekeeper for the code base, ensuring the coherence of the product as it evolves. This opportunity is with one of our largest scientific research companies we partner with and is expected to be a 2-year-long project with the opportunity to convert full-time. Upon submission to our client, we’ll request two professional references. The target pay rate is $65-73/hr based on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

· Architect and design high-performance multi-tier applications, including AI-enabled and API-driven solutions.
· Serve as a technical lead for AI integrations using Claude (Anthropic), ensuring:
○ Proper architecture patterns
○ Security and access controls
○ Maintainability and scalability
· Act as a GitHub gatekeeper:
○ Enforce branching strategies, pull request standards, and code quality
○ Conduct peer reviews and ensure architectural alignment across the codebase
· Translate business requirements into system, data, and AI interaction models.
· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, ADO, and Azure.
· Ensure adherence to modern security standards, especially when working with AI models and data access.
Partner with business and scientific stakeholders to deliver innovative, production-grade software solutions.
