Insight Global is looking for a Principal Software Engineer for one of our retail clients in Des Moines, IA. As a Software Engineer, you'll work as a member of a cross functional agile team focused on building great user interfaces and customer facing products. You'll create reusable components that are shared across many application and work with other team members to cross-pollinate ideas and skills. You'll find, monitor, and address performance issue and take features from conception to final production deployment. In the role, you'll contribute heavily to user story definition that takes our technology stack into consideration, but also continue to push the bounds of what is possible. You'll work heavily in a paired programming environment and mentor other engineers. Software Engineers will be working on full stack development with customer facing product but all working on the back end as well.

Hands on experience with React, React Native, Next.js
Experience with Node and GraphQL
Knowledge of the Cloud - willing to work with GCP
Willingness to work in paired programming
Retail experience, start up experience, or proven ability to work in a fast paced environment
Ability to pick up any technology and be adaptable to different situations.
Proven experience in developing and creating secure, resilient, maintainable applications.
