Job Description
Insight Global is seeking experienced Project Executives (PX) to lead large scale hyperscale data center construction projects across the U.S. This role is responsible for full lifecycle project leadership—from preconstruction through closeout—on complex, high value new builds and finish out scopes. The ideal candidate brings deep hyperscale experience, strong financial and schedule ownership, and the ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams in fast paced environments. One of these 2 positions will be joining an ongoing project in Cedar Rapids, IA and MUST be local to the area or willing to relocate. The second opening can be located anywhere in the United States, but willing to travel 75% and/or relocate to an undetermined jobsite. For both of these positions once a job is completed, the expectation is 75% travel + ability and willingness to relocate for future projects.
Key Notes:
- Travel cadence often follows Thursday–Monday, approximately twice per month
- PXs are expected to be on site heavily during preconstruction, early execution, and closeout, with reduced presence during less busy phases
Day to Day:
- Lead PX activities starting in preconstruction
- Review and fully understand all contract documents, drawings, and specifications
- Support early procurement strategy and long lead item planning
- Establish cost code structures, project controls, and production tracking
- Participate in building and staffing the project team, including interviewing and onboarding key personnel
Project Execution
- Provide overall leadership for the project team and partner closely with the Senior Superintendent
- Own coordination across shared services, including procurement, scheduling, QC, and FP&A
- Lead all high level client meetings and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure all project logs are accurate and current, including:
- RFI logs
- Financial and cost tracking
- Schedule status and forecasting
- Maintain continuous awareness of project financial health, earned value, hours, and schedule performance
- Step directly into day to day operations due to schedule pressure
- Actively manage subcontractors, sequencing, and schedule recovery
- High level of customer facing interaction
- Push execution, resolve issues in real time, and maintain momentum on a behind schedule project
