Job Description
The Senior Quality Engineer – IT / Systems Quality will be a hands-on automation engineer supporting Casey’s modernization of its Point of Sale (POS), payment terminal, and
guest-facing technology ecosystem. This role focuses on designing, building, and executing
automated testing solutions across UI, API, and device-level workflows, with a strong
emphasis on quality engineering best practices, CI/CD integration, and emerging
AI-assisted testing capabilities.
This engineer will play a key role in accelerating test cycles, increasing automation
coverage, and improving overall software quality across Casey’s retail and enterprise
systems. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, operations, and vendor partners.
Hourly pay rate for this position ranges between $50.00-60.00 and is dependent on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
4–7 years of progressive experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or
process improvement relative to software testing
• 3+ years of User Interface (UI) testing with automated tools such as Selenium,
Robot Framework, Playwright, or similar
• 2+ years of REST API testing with automated tools such as Postman, Playwright, or
similar
• Experience with object-oriented or scripted programming languages such as Java,
JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or C#
• Experience using AI/LLM chat interfaces for test planning, test case generation, and
automation development or troubleshooting (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot
Chat, Claude, ChatGPT)
• Experience working in Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD)
pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
• Experience working with cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure
• Experience using project management and work-tracking tools such as Jira and
ServiceNow
• Experience working with enterprise quality systems and reporting tools
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with a strong understanding of the
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience testing Point of Sale (POS) systems, particularly pin-pad/payment
devices, retail solutions, fuel pump payment systems, and Self-Checkout (SCO)
technologies
• Experience with Keysight/Eggplant and the SenseTalk programming language
• Experience with PaytestLab products, including PaytestHub, PaytestRobot,
PaytestMux, or similar platforms
• Experience using robotics or robotic automation solutions to test payment devices
or guest-facing technology
• Experience with software development platforms such as .NET Core
