Job Description

* Creating templates by placing surgical measurements to aid in positioning implants for total knee replacements (TKA) and total hip replacements (THA) from X-Ray images.

* Following a standardized work instruction to complete the process.

* May be asked to cross train and learn different tasks, software packages, and processes as required.

* Analyzing patient imagery (CT, XR, or MRI) to aid other areas of the business and provide design and 3D solutions for problems.

* Checking and sending templates previously designed to ensure a high level of quality.

* Assist other design technician or engineering team members for various service projects or tasks.

* Work closely with Process Improvement Engineers to troubleshoot, solve problems, and provide suggestions for future improvements.

* May be asked to mentor and aid in training activities.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

1 - 2 years of experience in technical field or engineering - fields may include imaging, imaging centers, case management, hospitals, regulatory, or other

Self sufficient and able to take feedback

Passionate about the medical device industry

Attention to detail

Ability to work on a team

Proficient in business-related computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* 1 year of design experience with CAD/CAM systems and advanced design applications.

* 1-2 years of related job experience in the medical industry, or any regulated environment.

* Knowledge of three-dimensional modeling and PLM software.

* Knowledge of orthopedic product design.

* Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and medical terminology.

* 1 year of Project management experience

* Experience with following software packages is beneficial

* Unigraphics/ NX, AMIRA, MIMICS, Parametric software experience, GeoMagic, and Teamcenter.

* Ability to talk to external teams, vendors, and customers preferred.

* Experience with pre-operative surgical planning
