Engineering Manager – RF Interconnects

Samtec is seeking an Engineering Manager, RF Interconnects to lead a design and development team responsible for high frequency RF and mmWave interconnect products. This is a hands on technical leadership role, balancing people management with deep involvement in design architecture, troubleshooting, and design reviews. Day to day, this engineer will manage and develop a growing team (initially a small group, scaling to ~8), critique and approve RF connector designs, lead design reviews, and support multiple projects in a fast paced environment. The role works cross functionally with Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Project Management, and supports customer calls and specification reviews. The team currently designs products up to 100 GHz, so candidates must be technically grounded at high frequencies. This role includes participation in global engineering meetings and <10% travel, primarily domestic (Pennsylvania) with occasional international travel to Taiwan. There is clear upward mobility into global engineering leadership.

-7+ years of experience in RF interconnect / RF connector design and development
-2+ years of people management / supervisory experience
-Hands on RF experience at 18+ GHz minimum (team operates up to 100 GHz)
-Experience leading design reviews and critiquing RF architectures
-Working knowledge of S parameters and TDR measurements

- Strong people person and mentor
- Experience with electromagnetic simulation techniques
-Experience working cross functionally with Marketing, Quality, and Operations
