Job Description

Insight Global’s client is actively seeking a dynamic Director of Finance to join their onsite leadership team in Michigan City, IN. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced accounting or finance professional who is eager to grow into the next phase of their career. The Director of Finance will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, optimizing operations, and supporting executive-level decision-making. This position oversees multiple functional areas and manages 6 direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a strategic financial advisor to the General Manager and department leadership.
• Oversee the preparation of budgets and capital expenditure schedules as directed by the General Manager.
• Lead, mentor, and manage teams across Finance and associated departments.
• Oversee all financial reporting, including financial statements, daily reports, and special projects, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business license fees, gaming and non-gaming taxes, and other required tax filings across federal, state, county, city, and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with all recordkeeping requirements, company policies, IRS standards, Gaming Control regulations, and other governing bodies.
• Provide accurate budget and financial information to department leaders and support them with financial questions and analysis.
• Prepare and/or review bank and balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner.
• Prepare month-end journal entries as needed and ensure all revenues and expenses are recorded accurately.
• Review the Daily Manager’s Report each day for accuracy and insights.
• Oversee monthly inventory processes.
• Monitor fixed asset entries and maintain control of MCRs.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through mentorship, coaching, and professional development.
• Build strong cross-functional partnerships to drive alignment and collaboration.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity, compliance, and safety across all financial operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance leadership roles.
• Proven people leader with a strong passion for developing and mentoring others.
• Gaming, tax, and payroll regulation knowledge.
• Proficiency with financial and business systems, such as Workday, MS Office Suite, Aristocrat, MicroStrategy, Power BI, and MS Teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a key gaming license (includes extensive background check, fingerprinting, and drug testing; all company-paid).
