Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Device Solutions Architect to join our healthcare system and lead the review and integration of all medical devices being considered for purchase. This role ensures that devices align with our clinical, technical, and interoperability standards, and integrates seamlessly with our electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and approve medical devices for purchase, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and interoperability requirements.
Collaborate with clinical engineering, IT, and procurement teams to assess device functionality, safety, and integration capabilities.
Ensure compatibility and integration of devices with Epic and Cerner platforms.
Develop and maintain architectural standards and documentation for medical device integration.
Provide technical leadership and guidance during device implementation and troubleshooting.
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in medical device architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience as a Medical Device architect
- Clinical Engineering background
- Experience with Capsule (Epic integration tool)
- Experience with Cerner iBus
