Our client is looking for a Lead Engineer to support their facilities operations team. This person is responsible for providing facilities & property maintenance to a local portfolio of medical office buildings. This position involves the coordination, management and physical activity associated with the operation and maintenance of various building systems for commercial medical office facilities. Lead Engineer is expected to provide the skills, knowledge and capabilities necessary to oversee and perform these duties as necessary for the proper operation and management of such facilities.
Responsibilities:
Main tasks - few buildings for themselves, responsible for lower demand properties - at those, weekly PMs, checking building automation systems, making sure everything's running properly - fire risers monthly, quarterly PMs on air handling units (HVAC) - electrical work as needed (lighting, receptacles, nothing super in depth) - some cosmetic work (painting, drywall touch up, hanging cabinets/carpentry etc.)
Responsible for those, based on location - if they're closer to some where it makes sense to have them closer, will assign there.
Oversee 6 engineers, coordinate things as needed
Example - elevator issue. Organize material, organize supplies, find guys willing to do it, then assist them in that project
Supervising, would work together directly with Michael - come to him with issues, or larger projects that need more assistance/coordination
FM Global Insurance Binders - try to keep these up themselves unless questions - so good documentation aspects
Tenant communication, property manager communication - speak the engineering lingo, but can also speak to administrative/property coordination for scheduling vendor completed items - calling the guys and asking if we can meet vendor at specific time/date etc.
