Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer to join one of our largest industrial manufacturing clients. This individual will be responsible for supporting existing code in a wide variety of powder coating machines and helping to automate their processes. Qualified candidates will have strong experience working with structured text programming languages as well as data visualization software. We are looking for candidates that are self-sufficient and strong communicators. They will be required to work five days onsite in Indianapolis, IN and need to be comfortable with some international travel.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of controls technology support experience
- Ability to troubleshoot existing code in machines and write base level manual coding
- Strong automation background
- Experience working with Structured Text programming languages such as C++, Python, Allen Bradley, CoDeSys, etc.
- Experience working with data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Galileo, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering
- Ability to travel up to 20%, sometimes internationally
- Must work 5 days onsite in Indianapolis, IN

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Previous powder coating industry experience
- Global industrial manufacturing experience
