Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Construction Category Manager to work directly for one of our clients in the utlitiy space. They would be joining the procurement team and working with four other category leads. In order to be successful in this role you have to have several years of experience in category construction management and have a clear understanding of capital construction (engineering services, design services, construction services). This person will Develop and execute supplier management strategies for areas of responsibility, work with business unit representatives related to supplier performance monitoring and improvement, monitor processes related to supplier qualification and compliance and take appropriate action as needed.

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of experience working in a category manager role within the construction space
-Experience working with sourcing and solicitation applications within procurement and supply chain management
-Ability to read and understand construction documents and drawings
-Experience handling the full RFI process—writing and sending out requests to vendors, collecting their responses, and reviewing them to help choose the best fit
-Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, etc.
