The primary technical focus will be on basic troubleshooting for HPLC systems, while also supporting other analytical instruments such as GC, Karl Fischer, and UV/Vis. A significant part of the role involves coordinating and escorting instrument manufacturers and service vendors across a large campus for high-level repairs and support, requiring a polished personality and strong interpersonal skills. The resource will lead a team of 10–15 individuals, managing schedules, supervising maintenance activities, and ensuring timely completion of tasks. Additionally, the resource will assist in qualifying and validating new instruments brought into the lab, applying basic mechanical common sense to routine checks and coordination. This position demands a balance of technical oversight, vendor management, and team leadership, with strong communication and organizational skills to thrive in a dynamic environment.
