Job Description

This Automation Engineer role supports manufacturing clients with end-to-end controls and automation projects, from design through startup. The position requires strong PLC programming expertise, along with experience working on projects and supporting commissioning efforts. Candidates will work across system design, troubleshooting, and documentation while collaborating on various industrial automation solutions. The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded controls background and is comfortable traveling to support client projects.

Required Skills & Experience

2-5 years of controls/automation engineering experience
Strong PLC Commissioning skills
Experience leading projects cradle-to-grave
Experience with troubleshooting, commissioning, testing/validating HMI's and PLC's
Has worked/supported in highly regulated environment (Food and Bev, Pharma, or Automotive)
Strong documentation skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Technology, Information Systems, etc.)
HMI development experience (Wonderware, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, etc.)
Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet)
Experience working with VFDs
Ability to design or program from scratch
