Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Manager to join a large environmental services and waste management client in Evansville, IN. This individual will support project management activities for construction operations across regional landfill sites. The Environmental Manager will be responsible for managing project budgets, timeline, external vendors, and external contractors. Some travel may be required to regional locations in Kentucky and Tennessee (these will typically be day trips).

Responsibilities Include:
Manage and monitor construction projects for landfill cells and sites (i.e., capacity calculations, scheduling/timeline, and resource and material coordination)
Manage and monitor financials for construction/cell development, closure/post-closure, engineering, operations, and cost tracking.
Coordinate permit applications and designs (i.e., regulatory interface, site expansion, modification or changes to the operating plan application, etc.)
Prepare notifications/responses to regulatory inspections, administrative warnings
Assist Landfill Managers and Site Managers with development of fill sequencing plans
Review and offer suggestions for potential acquisitions plans. This includes Phase I assessment/property survey coordination, engineering review of design and operations, and pro-forma modeling assistance
Complete monthly soil tracking reports and other status reports
Stay informed of regulatory standards and policies by attending related meetings
Monitor compliance through air, water monitoring, environmental data review and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in project management, operations management, or similar for environmental, construction, engineering, or industrial initiatives/organizations
Experience managing financials for a large, multi-million-dollar project
Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Landfill operations, construction, or project management experience
