Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Generation Interconnection Agreement Negotiator to support one of our largest clients in Carmel, IN. The Generation Interconnection Agreement Negotiator is responsible for managing the negotiation and execution of agreements necessary to support new or modified generation interconnections with Transmission Owners and Interconnection Customers. This includes, but is not limited to, Generator Interconnection Agreements (GIA), Multiparty Facility Construction Agreements (MPFCA), Facility Construction Agreements (FCA), and Transmission-to-Transmission (T-T) Agreements. The role involves coordinating all aspects of these agreements, collaborating closely with Transmission Owners, Interconnection Customers, and the Legal team to resolve questions and ensure alignment. The negotiator facilitates the exchange of interconnection-related information across impacted service lines, monitors issue investigations for trends, and identifies opportunities for process improvement. They are responsible for tracking progress and schedules, making timely and independent recommendations, and exercising sound judgment in daily operations. Compliance with regulatory and procedural standardsincluding SSAE16 SOC 1, CIP, Change Management, FERC, NERC, NAESB, and othersis essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the interconnection process and organizational goals.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree
Experience with GIA(Generator Interconnection Agreements), MPFCA(Multiparty Facility Construction Agreements), and/or FCA(Facility Construction Agreements)
Experience working with Transmission Owners, Interconnection Customers and Transmission Customers
Contract Negotiation experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

RTO or ISO experience
Understanding of FERC and NERC requirements
