Insight Global is looking for a Hyper V Engineer to enterprise-scale projects to design, implement, and modernize Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization platforms on Windows Server Datacenter. This role translates complex business requirements into secure, resilient, and high-performing on-prem solutions while ensuring operational efficiency and cost optimization. You will direct technical teams through architecture, migration, and deployment phases, serving as a trusted advisor on best practices for high availability, disaster recovery, and security hardening. Additionally, you’ll develop executive-ready deliverables, mentor peers, and collaborate with clients to align technical solutions with strategic business outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience
-11 total years of experience working in the IT industry
-5+ years designing and deploying Microsoft Hyper-V in enterprise environments (Windows Server Datacenter, Failover Clustering, CSV, Live/Storage Migration).
-Deep knowledge of Windows Server administration, Cluster-Aware Updating, Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), ReFS/SMB3/RDMA, and backup/restore strategies.
-Proficiency with SCVMM, Windows Admin Center, PowerShell (including DSC), and automation of operational tasks.
-Solid understanding of virtualization networking (vSwitch, VLAN/VxLAN, NIC teaming/SET, QoS) and storage fabrics (iSCSI/FC, MPIO).
