Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Manager, AI‑Native Software Engineering for a top legal/fintech technology client. This candidate will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling modern, cloud-native platforms using an AI-accelerated, agentic delivery model. Acting as a player‑coach, this individual will balance people leadership with hands-on technical oversight, driving quality, velocity, and innovation. The role partners closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful software solutions while shaping best-in-class AI-native development practices across the organization.
Day-to-Day:

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers across experience levels
Conduct 1:1s, provide feedback, and support career development
Own sprint commitments and delivery timelines within an agentic pod model
Partner with Product and stakeholders on planning, prioritization, and execution
Remove blockers and manage dependencies to keep delivery on track
Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning
Ensure adherence to engineering standards, CI/CD best practices, and code quality
Track and analyze engineering metrics (velocity, pipeline health, incidents, defects)
Identify technical debt and champion sustainable engineering practices
Communicate engineering health, tradeoffs, and delivery status to leadership

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of professional software development experience
2+ years of people management or engineering team leadership
Strong hands-on experience with C# / ASP.NET Core
Experience with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server / Azure SQL
Front-end experience with React or Angular
Azure cloud-native development and deployment experience
Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and retain high-performing engineers
Strong experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Azure OpenAI)
Experience reviewing and validating AI-generated code for quality, security, and architectural alignment
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills

Prior experience leading teams in agentic or AI-accelerated delivery models
Prompt engineering expertise with reusable templates and system instructions
Experience defining organizational AI development standards and best practices
Background in fintech, legal tech, healthcare, or regulated industries
Experience partnering closely with product and business leadership at scale
