Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to lead the modernization and evolution of our enterprise platform. Our current technology stack includes a legacy Oracle ATG-based ecommerce system, which is transitioning to a modern cloud-native architecture featuring Azure, Spring Boot microservices, and a Next.js-based micro frontend (MFE) framework. This role will drive the infrastructure strategy, ensure secure and scalable design patterns, and support the build-out of our cloud-native application ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Define the target state infrastructure architecture to support microservices, modern web frontends, and legacy system coexistence during migration.
Lead design and implementation of infrastructure components on Microsoft Azure, including networking, storage, compute, security, and observability.
Develop infrastructure blueprints and patterns to support Spring Boot APIs and Next.js MFEs.
Collaborate with application and platform teams to guide the phased sunset of Oracle ATG systems.
Architect and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Define CI/CD infrastructure strategies using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Champion containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and Helm.
Implement Zero Trust security principles, role-based access, and ensure infrastructure compliance with enterprise standards.
Work closely with security teams to ensure network segmentation, encryption, and threat detection are built into the infrastructure layer.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and auto-scaling designs are embedded across services.
Conduct architecture reviews to optimize cost, performance, and reliability across cloud-native components.
Partner with application architects, frontend developers, DevOps, and security teams to deliver seamless integration between infrastructure and applications.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering and operations teams.
