Job Description
• Partner with business teams (e.g., Finance, Customer Care) to gather and refine reporting requirements
• Analyze and integrate data from multiple source systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Define and document data sources, transformations, aggregation logic, and reporting standards
• Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams, including DBAs and Solution Architects
• Ensure reports align with the organization’s data strategy and source of truth framework
• Collaborate closely with leadership and data stakeholders on data strategy initiatives
• Meet with business stakeholders to reassess existing reports and understand unmet reporting needs
• Analyze current-state data using SQL and Excel to validate data and identify gaps or redundancies
• Define and document future-state data and reporting requirements
• Identify source systems, data flows, and data access mechanisms (database vs API)
• Own and document data requirements, including data sources, transformations, and API specifications
• Partner with DBA and BI teams by handing off clear requirements for report development
• Ensure reporting solutions are business-driven and not simple lift-and-shift rebuilds

Required Skills & Experience
• Business Analyst experience on data-driven projects, with a strong focus on data requirements rather than report building
• Strong SQL skills, including writing queries to extract, validate, and analyze data directly from databases
• Hands-on data analysis experience to assess current state vs future state requirements
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, comparison formulas, duplicate identification, and data reconciliation
• Experience defining data requirements such as data elements, data structures, transformations, and API needs
• Experience collaborating with DBAs, data engineers, developers, and/or data architects
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable data requirements
• Experience working on enterprise IT initiatives with complex data ecosystems
• Experience reassessing or modernizing large inventories of existing reports
• Experience working with APIs from a Business Analyst perspective
• Understanding of data visualization concepts and reporting best practices
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with identity and access management, particularly participating in or supporting an identity management revamp
• Prior work in organizations with strict regulatory or compliance requirements
• Hands on experience using Jira and Confluence
• Exposure to PowerBI or other BI tools/Reports Development Experience
