Job Description

A large retail company is seeking a skilled IT Lead to manage the Workday finance and accounting platform (core financials, Accounting Center, Projects, Procurement, Prism, etc.), ensuring seamless daily operations, data integrity, performance, and compliance. This high-visibility role leads the Workday implementation project and assumes ongoing ownership, driving system configuration, process optimization, enhancements, and automation initiatives while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, AP/AR, HR, and IT stakeholders to deliver organizational goals on time. Key responsibilities include overseeing system upgrades and deployments, performing tenant configuration and data loads (EIBs), generating insightful reports, conducting data audits, maintaining security controls, supporting audits, documenting processes, and staying current with Workday best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong financial and accounting expertise with deep IT acumen to align technology strategy with business objectives. Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Lead or Manager in implementing and managing Workday's core financials, accounting center, projects, procurement, Prism, etc.

· 6+ years of hands-on experience and strong technical knowledge of Workday's Financials, including configuration, integrations, business processes, reporting, and security.

· Strong understanding of financial processes (e.g., general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, financial reporting, etc.).

· Certifications in Workday Financials and Projects would be a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

· Experience working in a cross-functional environment, with strong communication skills to interact with non-technical stakeholders.

· Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in finance-related applications.
