Job Description
As a Project Manager at a leading retail and e-commerce company, you will oversee the migration of payment processing technology, leveraging your technical proficiency in payment processing solutions. Based in Lincolnshire, IL, you will play a critical role in managing the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for selecting technology vendors, with a shortlist of vendors already identified. You will review the vendor selection process, finalize vendor selection by January/February, and coordinate with internal resources to execute the implementation.
Your daily responsibilities include managing project timelines, addressing challenges such as resource constraints, unforeseen issues, or process delays, and ensuring transparency with stakeholders. You will navigate complex stakeholder dynamics, delivering difficult news—such as timeline delays—directly and without sugarcoating, while keeping projects on track despite limited stakeholder availability. You will use tools like Jira, Confluence, and digital platforms to manage and document project progress, focusing on payment processing systems that are primarily digital-based.
This is a 6-month contract position with possible extensions, offering a hybrid work arrangement (three days onsite, two days remote). Compensation will depend on experience, skillset, and expertise. Apply today!
Pay Rate: $55 - $80

Required Skills & Experience
-Technical proficiency in payment processing solutions
-6–10 years of project management experience (minimum 8 years)
-Ability to manage the RFP process for technology vendor selection
-Experience with Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation
