We are seeking an experienced Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Database Administrator to join our team supporting critical financial and supply chain management systems. This remote position requires expertise in Oracle EBS modules, database administration, and enterprise backup solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining system performance, implementing patches, and improving operational documentation while ensuring high availability of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Oracle EBS Administration (80%)
Administer and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite focusing on Financial Management (FM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules
Support core FM modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets
Manage SCM modules including Inventory Management, Order Management, Purchasing, and Warehouse Management
Perform system health checks, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
Execute AutoConfig runs and manage EBS configuration changes
Database Administration (20%)
Perform traditional Oracle DBA tasks including performance tuning and optimization
Monitor database health, manage tablespaces, and optimize SQL queries
Implement user management, security protocols, and access controls
Conduct database maintenance activities and troubleshoot performance issues
Backup and Recovery Management
Manage enterprise backup operations using Rubrik data management platform
Execute RMAN backup strategies and validate backup integrity
Perform point-in-time recovery, tablespace recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
Coordinate application-consistent backups across EBS environments
Test and validate recovery procedures regularly
Patch Management
Apply Oracle EBS patches including CPU (Critical Patch Updates) and RUP (Release Update Packs)
Manage technology stack patches for Database, WebLogic, Forms & Reports
Coordinate one-off patches and customization updates
Execute pre-patch and post-patch validation procedures
Implement rollback procedures when necessary
Documentation and Process Improvement
Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation
Create standardized procedures for patching, recovery, and maintenance activities
Document system architecture, configurations, and customizations
Improve operational runbooks and troubleshooting guides
Maintain change control processes and compliance reporting
Pay rate: $12 - $20/hr

Oracle certifications (OCP DBA, EBS certifications)
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
Experience with enterprise monitoring tools
Previous retail or distribution industry experience
Agile/DevOps methodology experience
