5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, with a strong background in managing IT projects,
Past experience as a hands on developer, particularly involving backend development (e.g., Java, C#, C++).
Technical knowledge sufficient to engage with development teams and vendors, understanding system architecture and validating technical deliverables without necessarily coding.
PMP certification or equivalent experience, with a strong emphasis on detailed technical documentation and project management methodologies.
Self-starter mentality, capable of independently driving projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams without constant oversight.
Comfortable working with senior leadership (e.g., SVPs, EVPs) to discuss technical details, present updates, and align on project objectives.
Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Planview, Excel, Asana) and adaptable to the teams preferred documentation platforms.
Ability to work in the primary office location in Lincolnshire, IL, with occasional travel (e.g., one trip per quarter to Denver or California).
Experience in the retail, RV, camping, or outdoor recreation industry.
Familiarity with modernizing legacy systems or working with platforms like Guidewire.
Previous exposure to loyalty programs, roadside assistance, or call center applications.
Experience managing vendor relationships and cross-checking technical deliverables for accuracy.
