Job Description

Insight Global's Client is seeking an engineering manager who will serve as a key technical partner within an international manufacturing organization supporting healthcare OEMs. This role is a peer to the current Engineering Manager, stepping in to provide immediate support. This position is highly cross-functional and customer-facing, responsible for coordinating engineering efforts between U.S.-based customers and offshore manufacturing teams in China, with future expansion into Vietnam. The role focuses on new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing execution, costing, and quality oversight across a mix of electromechanical and sewn medical products. This is not a traditional people management role—there are no direct reports initially. Instead, the Engineering Manager will play a critical role in technical problem solving, global coordination, and ensuring successful product delivery.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between U.S. customers and offshore engineering/manufacturing teams (China & Vietnam)
- Support new product introduction (NPI) efforts, including design review and manufacturing setup
- Analyze and interpret technical requirements across electrical, mechanical, and soft goods products
- Partner with internal teams to develop cost estimates, sourcing strategies, and feasibility assessments
- Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure customer specifications are accurately executed
- Identify and resolve technical and quality issues (QC/QA) during production
- Participate in continuous improvement and DFM initiatives
- Communicate project updates, risks, and timelines to customers and internal stakeholders
- Support global travel (as needed) to China and future Vietnam facilities for project execution
