Job Description
Manage and support cloud networking across AWS/Azure hybrid environments
Configure and maintain:
VPCs/VNets, subnets, route tables, gateways
Security groups, NSGs, and ACLs
Perform DNS management (80% focus early on):
Manage zones, A/CNAME/MS records
Maintain reliability and uptime of DNS systems
Support hybrid connectivity between on-prem (Cisco) and cloud
Troubleshoot:
Routing issues (BGP, asymmetric routing, latency)
Connectivity failures across environments
Assist with VPN setup and maintenance
Conduct security group changes and gateway attachments (high volume)
Support Infrastructure as Code migration (Terraform for DNS)
Work closely with data center networking team
Participate in knowledge transfer to offshore engineering team
Contribute to monitoring, maintenance, and infrastructure updates
Assist with net-new builds and updates to existing environments

Required Skills & Experience
Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, CIDR)
Hands-on DNS expertise (enterprise DNS, zone/record management)
Experience with AWS networking (preferred over Azure)
Experience with Route 53 and/or Azure DNS
Experience with hybrid cloud networking (on-prem to AWS/Azure connectivity)
Working knowledge of BGP routing concepts
Experience configuring VPNs (site-to-site and/or client)
Experience with Security Groups / NSGs / firewalling
Strong troubleshooting skills (connectivity, routing, latency issues)
Ability to support routing decisions and connectivity troubleshooting
Scripting/automation mindset (Terraform exposure strongly preferred)
Strong communication skills for knowledge transfer to offshore teams
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with ExpressRoute or AWS Direct Connect
Exposure to GCP networking
Familiarity with DNSSEC, BIND, Linux DNS servers, Windows DNS
Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
Certifications (or in progress):
AWS Solutions Architect Associate
AWS Advanced Networking / AZ-700
CCNA / CCNP
Experience with load balancing and advanced traffic management
Experience enabling self-service DNS via IaC
