Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Tech Lead Developer who can translate high-level business and technical solutions into actionable development work. This role blends technical leadership, Scrum Master, and light Product Management responsibilities, and requires a strong developer background to ensure high-quality, scalable solutions.
The Tech Lead will guide a development team operating in a gated Agile and Waterfall framework, while executing development work in 2–3 week sprints, partnering closely with QA and stakeholders to deliver reliable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Translate high-level architectural and business solutions into detailed technical designs and development plans
• Act as a technical Scrum Master and delivery lead, ensuring development practices align with sprint goals and milestones
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, with deep understanding of the codebase to guide design decisions and resolve complex issues
• Lead and influence development solutions, ensuring best practices in performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Organize and manage the development team’s workload, including:
○ Defining milestones and delivery checkpoints
○ Creating and refining user stories, features, and epics
○ Breaking down epics into executable development tasks
• Collaborate closely with QA to ensure quality standards, test coverage, and smooth handoffs between development and testing
• Coordinate development efforts within a gated Waterfall delivery model, while driving execution through agile 2–3 week development sprints
• Serve as a technical bridge between engineering, QA, and project stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years application development experience and background with hands-on experience in SQL Server and .NET (C# / .NET Framework / .NET Core)
• Proven experience leading development teams or acting as a development technical lead
• Experience guiding developer teams and tasks, working closely with architecture and solution engineering to transform requirements into actionability development tasks
• Solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall development practices, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery
• Ability to translate abstract or high-level requirements into clear technical direction and executable development work
• Experience working closely with QA teams throughout the development lifecycle
• Background in healthcare or insurance claims (understanding of PHI, PII, HIPPA data and web applications)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with Oracle databases and Java application development (vaster the technical background the better)
• Prior experience operating within hybrid delivery models (Waterfall governance with Agile execution)
