REMOTE Mainframe Systems Programmer- Automation

A customer is seeking a fully remote Mainframe System Programmer- Automation to assist in moving a customer's Data Center.

- Setting up Netview and SA in a GDPS Environment.
- Utilize system knowledge and project management skills to design automation for different platforms
- Engineering solutions to bridge tool capabilities with business requirements for a superior client experience
- Identify and design solutions that reduce or eliminate the need for human intervention, enabling our teams to focus on problem management tasks by automating corrective steps in response to specific alert types.
- accelerating the design and performance of our development of automation, integration into platforms and architectural design of multiple platforms: System Automation and Netview.
- Can pay $45-55/h

- 10 years of Mainframe experience
- Software development and Programming Writing and documenting code
- Programming languages: REXX, Assembler
- Ansible Framework and Playbooks
- Code hosting platforms for version control and source code management such as Github
- Software Development Issue tracking and Agile project management Tools such as Jira or Bugzilla (Scrum and Kanban Boards)
- Mainframe Operating systems and their sub-components - z/OS, MVS
- Software packaging and distribution
