Job Description

* Provide operational support and administration of the Reyes Holdings global enterprise VMWare VSphere and Windows server environments, which includes participating in an on-call rotation to provide operational support off hours and as required.

* Adhere to industry best practices for Windows Server and VMWare VSphere technologies.

* May share SQL Database and Data Center oversight and management (as applicable).

* Adhering to department policies, procedures, and training plans for server and virtual host administration and appropriate use

* Responsible for the service delivery and oversight of our server operations managed service provider(s).

* IT Service Management processes including but not limited to incident, problem, and change control processes

* Act as escalation point for our managed service provider to review and resolve technical issues

* Provide technical leadership and maintain accountability until issues are resolved to business satisfaction

* Perform capacity planning, trend analysis, and resource utilization reporting to manage and improve application and infrastructure operations

* Work with internal and external technical and service teams to create and/or update knowledge base articles and runbooks to provide improved operational support

* Work with operations and engineering teams (Network, Storage) to implement changes, troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents

* Other projects or duties as assigned.

* Develop and execute automation playbooks to drive "Infrastructure as Code" through scripting (e.g. Python, PowerShell, etc.) and other automation tooling such as Red Hat Ansible and HashiCorp Terraform and provide knowledge transfer and training to teammates and other functional areas. (moving towards Ansible support -- a plus)

* Responsible for software and hardware upgrades and EOL/EOS refresh as part of life cycle management, including ongoing security patching and vulnerability remediation following established policies and standards.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor of Science with a major in Information Technology and 4+ years' working experience and proficiency with supporting, maintaining, and administering Windows server and Microsoft technologies including troubleshooting in an Enterprise multi-site environment (> 2,000 servers) OR High School Diploma AND 7+ years equivalent on-the-job Wintel experience and proficiency with supporting, maintaining, and administering Windows server and Microsoft technologies technologies including troubleshooting in an Enterprise multi-site environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree

* Thorough working knowledge and hand on experience with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022

* Enterprise operational experience as a true engineer in addition to supporting, maintaining and administering the VMWare VSphere and VMWare Vcenter platforms.

* Infrastructure as code

* Terraform & Terraform Script experience

* Ansible and Jenkins experience

* Strong experience working within OCI Cloud and/or Azure Cloud

* Yaml script

* Experience with supporting technologies and protocols including security, DNS, storage, Active Directory, scripting, and patching.

* Good working knowledge of vSphere, AD, and CommVault (in addition Azure and Automation, is a plus)

* Prior experience working with a managed service provider

* Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Sound working knowledge of Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.

* Sound working knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, including switching, routing, Ethernet, TCP/IP.

* Sound working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Data Center Management and SQL Database

* Experience with scripting in PowerShell or Python.

* MCSE (Microsoft Certification) preferred

* Sound working knowledge of remote access technology.

* Cloud Migration Experience

* Moving towards Devops experience
