Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Data Scientist for a major financial institution in the Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA area. The goal is this individual will have a strong can-do mindset, proven ability to ship production grade models, and passion for solving ambiguous business challenges.

This role blends deep technical expertise with business acumen, product thinking, and strong storytelling skills. They will drive end to end delivery of Data & AI solutions, from problem framing and data acquisition to model development, deployment, and ongoing optimization...while influencing stakeholders across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

-3-5+ years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or applied analytics.
-Proven track record of shipping models to production and maintaining them at scale.
-Expertise in machine learning and deep learning algorithms and frameworks.
-Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with R, SAS, or other analytical tools is a plus.
-Experience with distributed computing technologies (Hive, Hadoop, Spark) and cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, etc.).
-Strong communication, storytelling, and influence skills; able to drive alignment across diverse groups.
-Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity, make data-driven decisions, and solve complex, open-ended problems.
-Experienced collaborator with deep cross-functional partnership skills and ownership mindset.
