Our client, a leading manufacturer of custom furniture products based in Chicago, IL, seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with 2+ years of experience in construction or manufacturing who is ready to take ownership of projects from estimation through delivery.
- Review bid requests, architectural drawings, and blueprints to prepare accurate estimates
- Collaborate with general contractors, architects, and clients to clarify project scope and requirements
- Manage projects through all phases of production, from initial planning to final shipping
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to source materials and manage procurement
- Track project progress, resolve issues, and maintain documentation throughout lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement efforts in workflow and project execution

- 2+ years of experience in construction, manufacturing, or related field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and bid documents
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with project management or estimating software a plus
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
